This is a compact ever bearing strawberry. It will produce the most berries in the spring and fall but will continue to have fruit all summer.
Growing Instructions:
- Strawberries love the sun and will grow well in the garden or in containers.
- For gardens plant about 12" apart in rows about 30" apart.
- In 12" planter put 4 plants. Fertilize regularly. The container will winter in an unheated garage.
- You can plant strawberries early as they are hardy against frost.
- Keep them fertilized and the soil worked to promote growth.
- A mulch around the plants helps hold moisture, keep the weeds down and because strawberries grow better in cool weather the mulch will help keep the soil cool in the summer.
- For ever bearing types they will produce all summer but more in the spring and fall.
- You can cover your strawberries with straw just before winter freeze and they will winter and be ready to produce next year. After 2-3 years you will want to plant fresh plants to maintain yield.
